The Tale of the Suicidal Guide Dog
Well here is a sad little tale for you all that may for the sickos amongst you bring a smirk to your face.
I was on my way to work this morning through the centre of Leeds and I have to cross 2 busy roads using pedestrain crossings controlled by traffic lights. I was waiting to cross and a guide dog led a blind man across the crossing, it's job you would say perhaps....well not quite!
You see, the lights had not changed and cars were still coming....the dog stopped with it's owner in time to miss the car coming at 30mph plus, the poor guy was missed by a hands length!! The dog then started up and thank god the cars in the next 2 lanes had stopped.
I stood gobsmacked as did everyone else. I then went to cross myself thinking the lights were about to change and that was why the dog set off and got it wrong by a few seconds. Alas they did not change for half a minute. I nearly became a victim and had to jump back to safety lol.
So my only thought is that the guide dog is either incompetant or suicidal. I suspect the latter but why oh why does it have to try to take the poor blind guy with it!!!
