Victory!!!

Well we went to Scaraborough a month ago and some kind traffic warden, no sorry Civil Enforceent Officer gave us a ticket for parking outside of a bay in a car park!!

Well we were not impressed to say the least. Especially as all the car parks in Scaraborough are short stay 3 hours or less, the only 24 hour one was shut!!

It is at the front of the Grand Hotel and does look like it is all a car park to the average dumb CEO.

However when you think about the fact it is access to several other buildings it has to be a public road, looking at the maps confirmed this so we were parked on the road with no double yellows so the stated offence could not be valid. As for causing an obstruction we left room to get a bus through and the road was a one way system.

I wrote to the council disputing this, they replied to Siege today and she read me the letter and the council were saying the offence was valid etc etc but in this case they would cancel the penalty!!

Hmmmm so if it was valid why cancel it Scarborough Borough Council?? Is it because you know you were wrong and I threatened to take you to court over it lol......

VICTORY!!!!!!!

    I'm glad you got one over on Scarborough! I hate that place...

    ...had a family friend commit suicide there. Also got tangled in a (presumably dead but non the less drifted over and still dangerous) Portugese Man-O-War which practically parylised me with pain... took almost an hour to get to the hospital... inexcuseable when Scarborough is not very big! Had it been alive I may not have been here to tell the story!

    Also, to add to the crap traffic system in and around Scarborough, my ex was supposed to be delivering her 2nd child there but I told her she'd deliver en-route as there'd be no way she'd get where she needed to be... I hate being right! lol

    The hosptial in Scarborough is only a few miles fro the front isn't it??

    Thats so weird Scarborough is a suburb of Toronto too, and it is also a depressing shithole! :)
