London Marathon 2011
Hi Everyone,
I did it, I have a guaranteed place in next years Virgin London Marathon and most will know just how much this means to me, though some will think I am nuts wanting to run 26 miles!!!
I realise I am sending this out early and I have a lot of training to do yet, but the more I can raise, the more motivated I will become when the training really starts to hurt-its not going to be easy and I am a little scared!!!
I am running for FSID which is a charity close to mine and my families heart. FSID is the Foundation Study into Infant Deaths, unfortunately they lost a son before I was born.
My brother would have been 30 next year so what a way to remember him. I dedicate this race to him.
If I am fortunate enough to raise above my target of £1500, I would like to give some money to the Marie Curie nurses who provide free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes, unfortunately I lost my nana last May and she was cared for by some of these wonderful nurses so I also dedicate this race to her.
